An Open Window
Inspired by my 2-week quarantine in Kuala Lumpur during the Movement Control Order, An Open Window aims to embody my experience in confinement where the inaccessibility of other living objects and the outside world compels oneself to reveal and echo upon a more unique and existentially reflective state of being.
By masking over a blank piece of paper over an abstracted configuration of caricatured orangutan faces portraying an orangutan plush given to me for my birthday during my quarantine by the hotel staff, the artwork represents a symbolic window to the soul molded by the exposure of my personal quarantine
